Food & Drink
Didn’t try anywhere outside, though there were a few shops and stuff on the main street next to the ground. Had a balti pie inside…and discovered I don’t like balti pies…
Corner of the Bridgford End
Inside the Ground
It’s a bit of a squeeze under the stand, but the away end is very good. What isn’t so good though is the police and the fans above us. Police seemed keen to throw away fans out for standing up, yet didn’t seem all that bothered about the home fans above us throwing stuff down at us…
The Brian Clough Stand
Atmosphere
Really good in the away end, given that Wigan were on the way to promotion, though it kept getting killed off by police and stewards kicking off for us standing up…with home fans above us, the atmosphere all around was very good, though they clearly disapproved of ‘you’re not famous anymore…’
The Trent End
Anything Else
A day of bizarre Spring weather! When we left Wigan, it was a gorgeous hot early Spring day, so everyone turned up in shorts, short sleeved shirts, flip flops and sunglasses. When we got to Nottingham, it was raining, so what a gang of idiots we looked!
Main Stand
Overall
Great little ground, really smart on all four sides, but the experience with the police and the fans above soured the day really.
