Transport

We took the DART from the city centre, the station was actually near enough underneath the West Stand! Way too packed after the game though, so walked it…bloody miles!

Food & Drink

Not an awful lot around the ground, but if you can’t find a pub in Dublin…getting food and drink inside the ground was good, as you went through the turnstiles, it opened out onto a big field full of burger stalls and so on, and being a nice August evening, had people playing football, so certainly a unique experience!

The North Terrace

Inside the Ground

The ground was impressive to look at, the massive South Terrace (complete with ‘Boys Pen!’) the much smaller North Terrace opposite, and two very impressive side stands. Being in the South Terrace also afforded the views of all the cranes across Dublin!

The East Stand

Atmosphere

For a massive uncovered terrace, impressive! Not bad too considering it was a friendly.

The West Stand

Anything Else

Overall

Showing its age, and always suffered from the fact that FIFA don’t allowed terraces to be used for competitive games, it had to be modernised. Shame though.
